Promoted by CRUI – The Conference of Italian University Rectors – since July 2016, the Italian University Network for Sustainable Development (RUS) mark the first experience of information sharing and coordination among all Italian universities committed to the topic of environmental sustainability and social responsibility. The main goal of RUS is to spread the culture of sustainability, both within and outside Universities, by sharing skills and experiences.
Among the organised events, Climbing for Climate is a demonstration initiative organised by the RUS and the Club Alpino Italiano (CAI) to raise local, national and international awareness of the effects of ongoing climate change in light of the UN 2030 Agenda goals. Now in its fourth edition, CFC4 saw a ‘national’ declination with the event held on 22 and 23 July on the slopes of Mont Blanc (https://lnkd.in/d4hqyvvu), and a ‘widespread’ one with upcoming events organised from early September to early October 2022 (https://lnkd.in/dhbck_T8).
In addition to the central event on Mont Blanc, as usual, RUS universities were invited to organise excursions open to their communities and any local actors.
