Among the cases af LOTUS, the “Peccioli system” adopts a development model that intersects waste disposal and energy production issues. Both the waste treatment and cogeneration plant are directed to the surrounding territory, including neighbouring municipalities (in the area of Fisa province, Tuscany region, Italy).
