Coordinated by Professor Isabella Lami and funded by the DIST – Dip. Interateneo di Scienze, Progetto e Politiche del Territorio (Politecnico di Torino), the research project “QUICHE. Which measurement for which policies? Towards SDG 11” explores the role of measurement within the concepts of inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable cities and is thematically complementary to the LOTUS project since it supports the development of pathways of innovation in sustainability and energy transition.
Triggering real operationalization of urban policies requires reflection on the ways in which sustainability is actually measured and a broader analytical and critical approach that interrogates its appropriateness, cogency and use. Starting with the presentation of the results of QUICHE, experts and researchers discussed today at Urban Lab Torino the role that measurement and assessments can play in developing policies that make our cities more sustainable.
