Rural territories desire to lead the ecology transition. In September 2022, the CLER non-governmental organization for environment protection and energy transition signed a partnership agreement with the French Association of Rural Mayors (AMRF). The two organizations have thus committed to reinforcing reciprocal knowledge exchange and training activities. This cooperation is hoped to boost AMRF association’s influence on national-level debate on the role of rural territories in sustainability leadership.
